I’ve been partnering with Telepresent Media to develop a VR live music platform. I’ll update this page as the project develops. My current contributions are in visual FX, creative, and UX design for the platform.
Here is a sneak peek of the stage lighting system I recently finished:
This lighting effect was built in Unity under the URP pipeline. Because our target device is the Oculus Quest, care had to be taken to ensure performance. Several tricks are employed here to help with that including baking information into vertex colors, minimizing materials, and using custom shaders to create the appearance of volumetric rendering.
